Tracks are mislabeled.
The unfamiliar & unembellished Childhood's End kind of emphasizes the cloudy sound of this recording, even for one who is familiar with the Dead's music. Nothing much is clear except for the guitars, and I'm not at all a fan of Weir's tone from this era (very harsh and jarring, maybe due to the way a wireless system will often take away all the warmth from a guitar's tone. I tried playing through a wireless for a while and switched back to a cable after just a couple months.), and Garcia isn't really tearing it up for the first set. Touch, Lucy and Bird Song are played very well, but the first set in general I'd call about a 4.
Ugh! Box is a clunker. Weir's tone is really horrible, and as for the choked synth effect on Jerry's guitar, God, what was he thinking? Can he not hear his own gear? The rest of the second set has some good parts, but when they gargled Attics I just gave up.
